Jason "AJ" Maederer, 34, Abrams, died suddenly Sunday afternoon, September 28, 2008 as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born February 27, 1974 in Milwaukee to Paul and Barbara (Boettcher) Maederer. As an infant, Jason moved with his family to Abrams where he attended elementary school, later graduating from Oconto Falls High School with the class of 1993. AJ has lived most of his life in the Abrams area where he has worked at various jobs including bartending, truck driving and being employed by U & I Movers. It could be said AJ enjoyed the life of a cowboy, riding horses, country music (especially Alan Jackson) and by living for the day, never knowing what tomorrow might bring. He was a member of the former St. Louis Catholic Church in Abrams. Survivors are his parents, Paul and Barb Maederer, Abrams; his daughter, Autumn Spencer; two brothers, Mike (Jessica) Maederer, Howard; Chris (Ashley) Maederer, Abrams; his paternal grandparents, Carl and Eileen Maederer, FL; two uncles, Steven (Jeri) Maederer, FL; Bruce (Ellie) Maederer, OR; many cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Richard and Marion Boettcher. Friends may call at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls (920-848-2222 or visit: after 4:00 pm Thursday, October 2, 2008 until the time of service. Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Fr. Gerald Prusakowski officiating. Burial will be in the Abrams-Stiles Cemetery.
