Donald F. Loberger, 93, Oconto Falls, died Tuesday morning, December 5, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Care of Oconto Falls.  He was born September 13, 1924 in the Town of Oconto Falls to Frank and Florence (Eastman) Loberger.  Donald was mostly raised in the Oconto Falls area where he attended Catholic grade school before graduating from Oconto Falls High School with the class of 1942, the same time he received his notice of induction into the military.  He went on to serve in the US Army during WWII.

On May 12, 1945 he married Lorraine Poquette at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Oconto Falls.  The couple lived in the Oconto Falls area all of their married lives where Donald once worked for the Scott Paper Co. before taking over and running the family farm for 50 years.  He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church where he sang in the church choir for 20 years and was an active member in the Oconto Falls American Legion Post #302.

Survivors are his two children, Patricia (Dave) Lindsten, Oconto; Jerome Loberger, North Chase; four grandchildren, Christopher La Chance, Oconto; Jason La Chance, DePere; Katie (Richard) Baumler and Michael Loberger, Chase; two great grandchildren, Jordan and Lexi La Chance; one brother, Larry (Carla) Loberger, Green Bay; one sister, Judy Rugg, Green Bay; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lorraine in 2013, three brothers Harlan, Harold and Franklin Loberger, four sisters, infant Joan, LaVerne Bukowski, Delores Jaeger-Black and Barbara Jarowski and daughter-in-law Cindy Loberger.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Friday, December 8, 2017 at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls, prayer service 7pm Friday.  Visitation will continue after 11am Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Jones Funeral Service until the funeral procession leaves for the church at 12:30pm Saturday.  Mass of Christian Burial will take place 1pm Saturday at St. Anthony Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Joel Sember officiating.  Burial, with military honors, will follow in the church cemetery.
