Died on Sep 02, 2017 and resided in Stiles, WI

Jerome “Jerry” P. Murphy, 76, Stiles, died peacefully Saturday morning, September 2, 2017 at his home while lovingly being cared for by his sister, Rosalie.  The 7th child of Mark and Zoe (Younger) Murphy was born January 28, 1941 in Green Bay.  There were 10 boys and 4 girls in the Murphy family.

Jerry and his brother Bob had a corporation when he was 18 years old, selling farm crops across the country.  He was a union millwright in Local 1146, working alongside his father and nine brothers in numerous paper mills throughout the United States.  Jerry was proud to be employed for the Boldt Company of Appleton for 38 years.  He was raised on a large dairy farm and owned a farm raising registered Black Angus cattle and selling grain in addition to his millwright work.  His hobbies included gardening, collecting antiques and furnishing his beautiful home which he kept spotless.  Jerry always had a dog which he’d spoil.

Survivors are his three sisters, Margaret (Ronald) Janousek, Kathleen (Alfred) Glish and Rosalie Murphy; his five brothers, Thomas, Paul, William, Vincent and Patrick Murphy; numerous nieces and nephews whom he was very proud of and they loved their “Uncle Jer”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Mark, John, Robert and Peter Murphy and an infant sister, Patricia.
