William "Bill" G. Weed

William “Bill” G. Weed, 93, Milwaukee, died Wednesday afternoon, June 28, 2017 at the VA Center in Milwaukee following a short illness.  He was born December 22, 1923 in Grant County, WI to Paul and Ella (Everson) Weed.  Bill graduated from Bagley High School with the class of 1941.  Following graduation, he served in the US Army during WWII before returning to Milwaukee.

On May 20, 1947 he married Josephine Delveaux in Milwaukee.  The couple lived most of their married lives in Milwaukee where he was employed by Molded Rubber & Plastic Corp. in Butler for 56 years.  He was a member of H. A. Todd American Legion Post #537 in Milwaukee.

Survivors include his four children, William J. Weed, Franklin Park, IL; Robert, John (Sue) and Daniel Weed, all of Milwaukee; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dick (Mary) Delveaux, Gaylen (Kathy) Delveaux, Jane and Evelyn Delveaux, all of Oconto Falls; Edwin Gousik, Peshtigo; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Josephine in 2006, one daughter Linda Sellhausen, one brother Robert Weed, two brothers-in-law Howard and Bernard Delveaux and 4 sisters-in-law Arvella Trepanier, Lorraine (Wally) Dowisk, Beatrice Gousik and Joyce (Ed) Ertil.

Visitation will be held at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls after 10am Saturday, July 1, 2017 until time of service.  Funeral services will be held 1pm Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Gary R. Olson officiating.  Burial with military honors will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oconto Falls.

Visitation: Saturday Jul 1, 2017, after 10am Saturday until time of service at Jones Funeral Service
